Job Overview

The Ringette Association of New-Brunswick is a non-profit, volunteer directed organization. The Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors. In addition, the Executive Director is also responsible for the administration, promotion, and programming of activities related to Ringette NB.  Must be able to work flexible day/evening/weekend hours.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Implementing Board policies and decisions
  • Overseeing the financial management of the organization
  • Planning
  • Managing human resources
  • Delivering programs and services which includes but may not be limited to the provincial HL program, High performance program and volunteer recognition program
  • Establishing, maintaining and advancing external relations
  • Overseeing the membership registration of the organization
  • Marketing and promotion

 General Expectations:

Prioritize tasks and strive to achieve high standards in terms of quality and timeliness of all work products; Contribute to the creation and projection of a RNB image characterized by athlete centered, excellent, fairness and respect; Ensure all activities are closely coordinated among staff, and operational committees

Education and Experience

  • University Degree in Sport/Recreation Administration, Physical Education or Recreation & Tourism Management Diploma. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 2-4 years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector, or employment working in an administrative
  • Knowledge of Ringette, coaching, officiating, athlete or volunteering is also an asset
  • Demonstrated verbal and written bilingual communication skills (English and French);
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills; Ability to use Sage 50 is an asset

Payroll and Benefits

  • Salary Range for this position is $43 000- $48 000 annually based on education/experience and includes employee benefits (medical, dental, and extended health )
  • This is a contract position with the possibility of renewal
  • 5 hours per week, overtime during busy season, some evenings and weekends. Some travelling required
