Sport New Brunswick is calling supporters to action as it seeks $30k to meet the growing demand for its services. This is an opportunity to create a lasting impact into and beyond the jointly hosted 2029 Canada Summer Games in Saint John and Moncton. Funds raised from the Momentum Campaign will get Sport NB closer to achieving the member-focused goals outlined in its strategic plan such as increasing impactful member communication, improving organizational efficiency, and expanding free or subsidized business services. The funding will also go towards efforts to identify and secure more sustainable sources of support in the future.

Truth: when harnessed correctly, sport has the potential to be preventative healthcare, a community builder, an educational and personal development tool, and an economic driver. Sport New Brunswick is positioned to support its members in realizing that potential.

Regional Sport & Recreation Consultant for Chaleur and Acadian Peninsula
“Last spring, around fifty young girls aged 9 to 13 from three different schools in the northern part of the province enjoyed a wonderful day of sporting discoveries. The day was enhanced by a guest speaker, Maécha Caissie, a nationally renowned athlete/official in the discipline of Olympic wrestling.
The day allowed the young girls to discover frisbee golf, badminton, and softball with experts in each discipline. The students came from François-Xavier-Daigle School in Allardville, La Passerelle School in Pont-Landry, and LaFontaine Community School in Néguac.
After talking with the leaders of the various schools following the sports day, I was told that most of the young women who participated in the activity were very happy and would like to repeat the experience again in the near future.
This was a great success for Sport NB, Tourism, Heritage and Culture, Sports and Recreation Division, as well as the participating schools. Bravo for the success of this day!”
