Introducing SafeZone:
a new confidential resource for support and guidance

Sport NB is committed to fostering a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all who participate in sport in New Brunswick. In support of this commitment, the Sport NB team is pleased to present SafeZone, a resource designed to help participants, leaders and representatives deal with concerns and conflicts, and understand the complaints process.

SafeZone offers a confidential and welcoming space where people can ask questions, share their experiences and receive advice on issues such as harassment, bullying, abuse or other forms of mistreatment.

Whether you’re an athlete, coach, parent, official or club representative, SafeZone offers personalized support to help you understand your options and move forward with confidence.

WHAT SAFEZONE HAS TO OFFER

  • A confidential, non-judgmental space to address your concerns and ask questions;
  • An opportunity to talk about challenges you’ve experienced or situations you’ve witnessed. Please note that this offer does not include access to professional mental health providers or other similar supports;
  • Advice on the options available to you and help in understanding possible next steps;
  • Details on MTPSSNB, the complaints process, jurisdiction and additional resources.

Contacting SafeZone does not necessarily mean that you are making a formal complaint. All conversations are confidential, unless you decide to take further action.
