Sport NB has partnered with BFL Canada to provide quality insurance for our members. BFL is an industry leader with a comprehensive understanding of amateur not-for-profit sport, providing commercial general liability insurance, accident insurance, directors and officer, and abuse and harassment coverage.
Sport insurance is essential for all organizations. Members in good standing of Sport NB are eligible to participate in the BFL insurance program. It is important to understand, this program is not meant for Provincial Sport Organizations (PSOs) that obtain coverage through their National Sport Organization (NSO). It is the organization’s responsibility to understand their coverage and ensure their directors and officers, their members and clubs, and their programs and events are protected against any issues that may arise. Furthermore, it is becoming standardized practice for facilities to require proof of insurance when booking events.
Provincial Sport Organizations and Multisport Organizations who are members in good standing of Sport NB are eligible to access this program. The coverage of this policy extends to their member clubs, participants, coaches, and volunteers.
