Safe Sport Education Series 2024-2025
Sport NB and ITP Sport are pleased to announce the 2024-2025 Safe Sport Education Series. The purpose of these sessions is to tackle some of the ongoing safe sport issues and challenges faced by Sport NB members, and to raise awareness as a preventative measure against potential safe sport infractions.
These sessions are free of charge for Sport NB members and will consist of a combination of live facilitated webinars facilitated by ITP Sport’s Chief Complaint Officer, Samantha Heron, as well as podcast episodes prepared by the CCES’ True Sport Team.
In this podcast series, we’ll explore the True Sport Principles, discuss successful practices, and chat with remarkable leaders who are activating True Sport and bringing the True Sport Principles to life. Throughout the series, we’ll offer you insights, strategies, and real-life examples of how to foster a positive sport environment. Whether you’re a coach, parent, guardian, volunteer, and/or a sport administrator, this series provides valuable perspectives on building and sustaining True Sport as an effective approach to values-based sport. We hope to inspire you to build good sport in Canada!
There is no limit to the number of sessions a registrant may access, and Sport NB encourages all members to take advantage of these opportunities as much as able.
Note: For all virtual webinar sessions, the content delivered will be available in both English and French languages through simultaneous translation services. For all pre-recorded deliveries, both English and French downloads and/or transcripts will be made available as per their scheduled release dates shown below.

Description: Join us for a crucial webinar on Sport New Brunswick’s Safe Sport Complaint Mechanism. Learn how this program protects you, addresses coach-specific concerns, and promotes fair dispute resolution. Discover strategies to create a positive team environment while safeguarding yourself and your athletes from maltreatment. This presentation will be facilitated by ITP Sport’s Chief Complaint Officer, Samantha Heron, and will be followed by a brief Q&A session.

Description: Equip your organization with essential tools and best practice to navigate and resolve sport-related conflicts effectively. This delivery will cover your duty to report, working with the ITP, and navigating conflicts under your own processes. This two-part session will be offered in-person at the 2024 Fall Sport Summit on November 21st and will be facilitated by ITP Sport’s Chief Complaint Officer, Samantha Heron.
The presentation component of this delivery will be offered from 9:00am 10:00am (AST), and the comprehensive workshop will be from 1:00pm-2:30pm (AST). This session will be delivered in English, but French materials may be provided upon request.
